Emma organization was established in 2013 by a group of women activists and experts in various fields including gender equality, law, education, health and mental health. Emma Organization was established for human development.
We are a non-profit organization providing rehabilitation, development assistance, and program services to women and vulnerable communities in Kurdistan. The organization coordinates and cooperates with governmental, institutions, networks and groups working in the same field to ensure sustainability.
Vision: We believe in Feminist in Kurdistan . we want efficient and effective vision based on well – being , equality ,social justice , and a powerful voice against all forms of women’s violence . we envision culture in which women enjoy equal rights and participation in power and decision – making structures in which all women have been liberated from all forms of oppression . we envision a society in which women’s contribution to all aspects , all women have freedom of choice .
Mission: we provide the necessary infrastructure and advanced experience and expertise on equality between women and men and women’s rights.. we represent an inclusive ,confident, loud , independent feminist voice and bring real women’s voices into the Kurdistan political arena. • Enhancing the feminist movement in Kurdistan .
• Combat gender-based violence.
• Eliminate all kinds of discrimination against women.
• Empower women, displaced women and vulnerable groups.
• Participation of women in decision-making and peace building.
• Rehabilitation of Yazidis and other minority survivors from ISIS.
• Mainstreaming the international convention and resolution principles into national laws and policies.
• Integration of gender equality in the education system.
• Eradicate FGM in Kurdistan.
