In continuation of International Women’s Day activities Emma Organization for Human Development conducted a health and wellness awareness session along with Dental health screening at the Sharya Community Center for more than 50 women and girls. Dr. Jeger Salih has volunteered his time providing oral care instructions to those who attended and offered a 50% discount for the those who need continued care. Emma Organization looks forward to future collaborations to set up activities promoting awareness and health within communities.

Emma Organization for Human Development was founded in 2013 by three female activists with a vision to advance the role of women in society, promote gender equality and empower women in Kurdistan.
“Emma” is a Kurdish term meaning (WE) and is the concept by which this organization functions as a unit working together as "One Team" from different cultural backgrounds and religious beliefs to achieve goals and rebuild lives.
