Dr. Bayan Galaly; Mental health consultant and manager at Emma organization participate in the conference “The Costs of Social Injustice & Reimagining MHPSS in the Region”which was conducted for the GIZ partners in the Middle East from 4-7 July 2023 by GIZ Regional office in Beirut.
The Methodology used in the conference was working in an open Space; the central theme was about Social Injustice & Mental Health Pycho-Social Support.
Participants identified issues/topics which are important and took the responsibility of facilitating them in a session in small groups.
Open Space creates fluid and dynamic conversations that are bound through a mutual enthusiasm for the topic. During the large group were many arts-based approaches presented to explore issues, needs, expectations, problems, and solutions around the topics chosen in a safe space.
At the end of the conference, the German consulate and Regional director of GIZ visits the conference venue and thanked all efforts of civil society organizations and the importance of their work in conflict and post-conflict area
