Emma joined Buka Kurdistani festival to celebrate 8 March

On the occasion of International Women’s Day(8March) all the staff of the Emma Organization for Human Development participated in a festival ” Buka Kurdistan” which has been organized in the coordination and cooperation with a number of the organizations and activities that are working in women’s field. The festival took place at Mado park-Erbil from 1:00PM till 6:00PM.
The festival started with march that included a number of girls of the Yazidi Kurds and the Kurds from western Kurdistan by playing a Def, Shimshal( two music instruments), and wearing Kurdish clothes demand women’s right.

Worth to mention that within the festival many activities have been implemented including singing songs by a group music of Shangal’s girls and other Kurdish singer, distributing gifts to the Kurdish families of martyrs, and delivering speeches by Mrs. Bahar Ali the Director of Emma Organization along with Vian Hassan a project manager at Emma…etc.

The festival end by singing some songs by Rojin a Kurdish singer from northern Kurdistan alone with distributing some other gifts to the participants whose name has been revealed by the lottery.
